Merry Chirstmas To Me! NOT!

~This is the best I could do with it parked in the garage~

Let me start by saying I don't drive my Yukon very often for the fear someone might scratch it, and I don't want to put a lot of miles on it because I want to keep it for a LONG time, hence the 100,000 mile warranty. Anyways! I took it today because the roads still looked icy from all the smow. So today the kids and I are out finishing up our shopping. We go to get in the car and Kennadee tells me, "mom there is a huge dent in your car!" The first thing that went through my minds was if a 5 year old noticed it, well then half the car must have been missing. Well I walk around to the passenger side and sure enough someone hit my car. GRRR! So we walk back into the store to see if they have any cameras outside or what not. Of course not I'm at a quilting store in Colonial Square. What was I thinking. So I took it to a guy my dad know to see what it would cost to fix. If I get the bumper, and the black thingy ( I don't remember what its called) the will remove, install and paint the new one for $400. So all in all it will be about $1000 to get it fixed.Well thanks I know what I'm getting for Christmas! I hope to whoever hit my car, you were in such a hurry to not let me know who you were because you were off saving an elderly lady that slipped on ice and broke her back, or you were in labor and going to the hospital..... I forgive you if that was the case, otherwise.
"HOW RUDE!

Temple Square

~I don't know what went wrong with this picutre~
I guess this is what you get when you ask a strager to take a picutre for you.

For FHE we went to temple square to see all the lights. We were getting the kids all dresses warm when Ryker realized that we were going outside he kept saying "go eat snow". I don't know what it is with kids and eating snow. Its grouse. The kids had so much fun though looking at all the lights. Ryker would look up at all the trees with no lights and say "tree" Really?!? If there was a tree with lights all lit up he just stared. Kennadee had so much fun throwing snowballs at Nick. We all had a lot of fun even though it was cold.

Flips Christmas Show

Kennadee had her Flips show the other day. It was fun to see how much she has learned and that she is the only girl in her class so its funny to watch her with all the boys. She loves gymnastics so much. Every day she is doing cartwheels, handstands, splits and much more. I can't believe how flexible this girl is.
Daddy gave Kenn a purple rose ( her favorite color/flower) for doing such a great job.
Ryker practicing his elephant rolls when all was done. Good job Bubba!

Once there was a snowman

Kennadee and Brynley are tied to the hip at times. Today they decided they wanted to build a snowman together, so they did They are so cute together. We love Brynley!

The scarf are Kennadees yellow mittens. These girls are way to creative.

Ginger Bread House

Kennadee has been waiting to build her house, and the time finally came. She did such a good job, she did the entire thing by herself.
With a little help from bubba...
When the roof started to slide, Daddy tried to help and a cave-in happened.

Luckly she didn't care and was excited she could eat all the candy now.

Broderick Ugly Sweater Party

I can't get enough of the Christmas season it is so much fun to see family so much. I can't believe how many family members come and support these parties. On the broderick side of the family there are so many people that my parents take out all the family room furniture and set up tables and chairs so that everyone can fit. This year was different we had Grandpa and each of my dads siblings tell a story about a christmas they remember it was really fun.

Lund Family Christmas Party

The Lund family Christmas party is always one of my favorite parties of the year. Its not often we get to see this side of the family so we take advantage of it when we see them. this year they had it at the Club house that at the bottom of the canyon if you are going to Pineview from the West. Kennadee was so excited to see Santa! I thought Ryker would be scared but he was so excited, I couldn't get him to sit down he wanted to sit on Santa's lap so bad.

Aunt Chelsea and Uncle Eni. This is the first time Eni has ever sat on Santa's lap. I thought he was so cute. Something he can check off his bucket list at 28.

2 Year old stats...

Ryker went in for his two year old check up yesterday. He is healthy as a lark, except for the ear infection he had that I had no idea about. (Don't they have to be grumpy, have a fever and pull at there ear for you to know they have one, see what I know...)

Height 90%
Weight 51%
Head 98%

Yes this kid has a big melon but he sure is cute when he is cheesing it up!

Nick finally caved! Yahoo!!

No we didn't get a dog, but a close runner up. Kennadee has been wanting to get here ears pierced and Nick keeps telling her "NO". He tells her he thinks she is to little. He really just doesn't want her to grow up. Well she asked he fought back and gave in shortly after. She was so excited. Kennadee was a little nervous once it really was her turn.

She went from this...
To this in less than 1 second....

Right after I asked her if she though it hurt and she said yes, then I asked her if she was glad if she did it. She still said yes. So I figure she had thought about it more than I think she had. She loves her new daisey earings.

A weekend full of family & fun

Friday Night started out with a "round up" for Rykers 2nd birthday... (Not to mention I snuck out to see that new baby Kendyl, she is a beauty). Ryker was so excited to get his very own Hummer, now he doesn't need to still the neighbors Barbi Jeep.
If you look closely in the picutes, my camera isn't blurry that is smoke in the kitchen. The oven was on fire, because the ribs overlowed. It was nick this time, not me. I know there is a first for everything.
The rest of the weekend was filled with a baby shower, shopping:(, and a blessing.

Happy Birthday Bubba

I can't believe Ryker is 2 already. If you ask him who's birthday it is a few days ago it was "I dough no". The ohter day my mom was telling Ryker that her birthday was a few days after his was, so know if you ask him whose birthday it is the response is "Grandma". Oh I love this kid. He is so funny, I can't believe how much he talks although he still can't say his name. We are so lucky to have such a great little guy in our family. Happy Birthday Bubba!

Scrapbook pages are done! (no peaking, unlesss you are Kimberly...)

So every year my mom and dads families do scrapbook pages of what each family has done for the year. Then every family exchanges pages, as a present so that we have something to look back on for the years to come. We have been doing it long enough now that it is really fun to look back and see how people have changed. Its a great way to do a little family history in the making also. I finished mine tonight and this is what we got......

Stinkin' Feet!

So when kennadee started preschool she needed all new shoes. She had either destroyed them or lost one of the mates which left her without many. Her feet had also grown a few sizes during summer so The first of September I bought her all new shoes, church included about 8 pairs. Well Ken has been wanting skis so we went the other night to try on boots. While they were looking for the boot sizer, I decided to put her foot into the regular shoe sizer. It said she was a size 11 which is another 2 sizes bigger than I had bought only 1 month ago. I thought oh this must be different. Why I would think that I don't know.... Well I was just getting Ken dressed and she begins to tell me that all her shoes hurt.... What, I didn't mention to her that all her shoes she had been wearing were 2 sizes smaller than what the sizer said. GRRRR....

Needless to say we are off to buy shoes again today. Maybe I will be smart and by a size big, and only 4 pairs.;)

Santa's Underwear

So Jackee needed a way to ask Ben Belnap (bubba belnaps baby brother) to the christmas dance. So this is what we came up with.....
I looked for a stocking,

but couldn't find a spare,

so I ended up stuffing your red underwear.

So drop his drawers and you will find ;

a special friend who has you in mind.

She stuffed it with candy and put her letters of her name on different pieces, it was really Corney but quick.

Look what I found at preschool today!

I went to go get Ken from preschool today, and found a cute pilgrim instead.

So my cute SIL has starten making the cutest hats. Here are some pictures she took with my kids, they are great! I love the boy ones too, even though Ryker looks like a dawebe and has had a little to much sugar when this was takes. She even has ones for adults. Check out her blog to order.
If you like the bows we have them at cookie cutters, hopefully soon we will start selling the hats there too.

Kids are just plain funny~

So today I'm loading the dishes after breakfast. Ryker is always pulling things out and putting them back in. I have to go answer the phone and asked Ryker to shut it since we were done, and that is his favorite part of doing dishes. Well I went to put dinner dishes in and realized I never turned it on this morning because I got distracted. I noticed that the door was closed where you put the detergent in, I thought that's weird I swear I didn't put any detergent in it so luckily I opened it up to find this.....
Ryker loves candy, so needless to say I knew exactly who the culprit was... I just had to laugh he knew that you were supposed to put something in there, just not a tootsie roll. The best part to me is that he was obviously eating it and decided it would be better in there.

Good night!

So kennadee thought is was great we got these eye covers from Jet Blue (they give them to you on Red eye fights) She has been sleeping with it everynight. She makes me laugh about how she wont go to bed without it and she keeps it on all night. I don't see how she can breath but it doesn't seem to bother her.

meet my new little friend.

As we began watching a movie as a family tonight about 10 minutes into it Nick keeps hearing something. I tell him to relax its probably a leaf in the window well. (For those of you that don't know Nick well he can hear anything and gets all worked up to figure out what it is a little OCD)shhh...... I didn't tell you that!

Well after about 15 minutes of up and down lights on and off he goes up stairs and I hear the front door open. Well there was my new little friend sitting in the window well.

I have to say my family is sick because we had rats growing up and we loved them, this little guy is CrEePy! I can't handle those little eyes. Who am I kidding he is not little he is the same size as Kennadees black cat webkin she is holding.
Now that we haven't finished our movie and there is no way to get him out a nice way Nick is off to Wally world to find our solution.... So Kennadee and I are stuck with this thing. Ken is checking on the rat to make sure he hasn't come inside as she gets scared to realize he is still sitting there. I hope Nick gets home soon I don't know how much longer I can handle that thing looking at me while I type about his final moments.

Mexico

Nick and I were able to take a week off and go to Cancun. Thanks to "close grandma, and far away grandma". It was great to sit on the beach and not do anything.
We took the ferry over to cozumel for a day and played at paridise beach for $10 you could snorkle, canoe, water tramps and icebergs. There was hardly anybody there it was great.
We also drove up to Playa Del Carmen to Xelha if you haven't been there it's really fun and beautiful. Unfortunalty I didn't take many pictures because my camera isn't water savvy. Needless to say it was great!
Also the food was fantastic (isn't it pretty)
