Christmas Eve 2009

This is the start of a new tradition the Naughty or Nice Log. It was fun we did it with a 2x4 (considering we already cut down our own Christmas tree out of the front yard....see video) it was fun you light your own candle (Jacksons was lit by proxy..aka: mom) then we all cheered on our candle (yes we really did) the last to go out has been Nice the first was naughty.

Nick won the Naughty and Jackson and Mom tied for Nice...

(Kennadee concentration very hard to make sure she wins)

Christmas Eve 2009

We decided to make a gingerbread house well that's about as far as we got with that because Santa's Elves had made a special delivery and brought the kids some jammie's. The thought that it was time for bed so we didn't stop them. Grandpa read them his favorite story "twas the night before Christmas"
(WOW...scary but this is the best one)
Grandma tucked all the kids in bed..They were in hopes Santa would be there soon.

Martin-Lund Christmas Party

(Kennadees's necklace stash)
We can't wait every year for this party. We just don't get to see family enough. This year Jim and Kristen hosted the party at their home which is always fun. The kids had so much fun playing all the games Kristen Planned. The pizza, treats, salads and pop were so tasty. The adults had a little to much fun playing dodge ball in the B-ball room. They had a fun game where you got a necklace and if you said the word"Christmas" you had to give your necklace to the person who got you to say it. The kids loved it.

The kids got some fun prizes can you tell they both had better things to do then smile for a picture.

Dodge ball and Referee Jim

These two babies are just two days apart they its so fun that each of us
have new babies this year.

(Jackee, & The kids)

(Kennadee sliding in snow and not to sure about it)

(Bubba not sure if he is doing something he may get in trouble for)

(Bronson doing what he does best)

(could this picture look any worse)

Last night we went to temple square to listen to the Bountiful High Choir sing. It was great! I looked around and there were several kids in the chapel and you would have never known it was so quite....(I know my kids and quite don't go together) It was fun to see the lights and hurry home, it was a little chilly for Bronson so we didn't stay to long. Ryker and Kennadee really enjoyed throwing snowballs at daddy.

Happy Birthday MOM

(Ryker and Grandma at Costa Vida for birthday dinner)
I am so lucky to have such a great mom. She is an incredible example of who I want to be when I grow up;) I have never meet someone who is so giving and incredibly talented.(she can do anything. Plumbing, tile, decorate, cook, if you give her the chalange she will do it!)

I learn from her everyday (that's because we call each other at least 5 times a day, even if its about butter)

My mom had taught me how to have a lot of patience with Ryker, trust me you need it. I think the thing that I admire most is when we were growing up it didn't matter what she was going through she was always there for you and never said she was to busy even if she was. When my mom would get mad she would NEVER yell, she would get quite I think that was scarier than if she were to ever yell. You just new you were in trouble when mom went quite.

My mom is an amazing grandma I'm pretty sure my kids like her more than me... Grandma is always at everything for her babies and is always calling to say hi, tell them she loves them and lets them come over when she is working and draw pictures. Ryker has got the, "hello. thank you for calling Jet Blue!" down its great.

I could never say enough about this woman she is truly amazing words cant describe!

Thanks for sharing your birthday with us even if all we did was feed you!

The Square Christmas

The new square @ 2600 had a some Chirstmas fun tonight. All the stores had food, treats, hot coco and cider.

They even had a carriage ride for kids, and most important Santa! Kennadee and Ryker loved the horses they thought it was fun. They both were so excited to see Santa and ask him for some special gifts they would like from his elves.....

Keeping warm by the fire

Ryker asking for a Train

Kennadee asking for a penguin webkin
(santa may want to get on that one)

Bronson was just happy to be there

Ryker is 3!

Ryker is a "circus' most the time the kids is full speed always. I though with how active he is and how much he loves animals, balloons, and a "Midnight Magic Martin' magic show we couldn't go wrong. Winter birthday parties are hard to do but I thought it turned out pretty well considering it was snowing outside and having a 4 week old baby. I found the cutest printable party from ETSY. It was great all I had to do was print, and make one trip to Zurchers and called it good.

Ready to Party... The adults had "cafe rio" salads

Each child got there own box with chips, tickets, treats, and a drink along with their hot dogs.
And sugar, sugar, and more sugar!

Nicks cousin Whitney made this darling cake

I made these popcorn cupcakes they were fun!
(If only I had more time I would have done more than 5, oh well)

Fun candy buckets for the bar

I made shirts for the kids. The boys had elephants (Bronson was thrilled to be taking a picture) and Kennadee's was a lion t-shirt dress.

Rykers favorite present a snow shovel!

Ryker amazed at "midnight magic martin" making the coin change into a different coin.

I'm pretty sure the adults were more entertained than the kids.

As if he didn't have enough sugar about 10pm he needed some oreos.

Then about 11pm he needed a little cake fix...

I love that he has shoved all the animals in the cake.
I hope my bubba had a great birthday!

We were so "lucky" to be part of the Ward Christmas Party. As everyone entered to party we were the "nativity" We all felt like a monkey in a cage but it was fun.

The little "wiseman" couldn't get enough of "baby Jesus" and the cutest "little angel" you have ever seen.

(The other shepard couldn't attend she had to cheer at the b-ball game)

Glow Worm

(day one almost an hour of crying and finally, this..)

Monday Bronson had to get "billy lights" since is Jaundice was not improving on his own. Day 1-4 ment screaming if he was in there. I did find if I put him in there on his tummy and he was already asleep he would nap.(disclamer: I know he is supposed to sleep on his back, but he can hold his head up really well and I make him take his binky if he is on his tummy)
This is day 5 only lasted 15 min. but hey I will take that awake and under the lights! Wahoo!

Bronson Pearce Martin

Bronson Pearce Martin

November 9th 2009

8 Pounds 9 Ounces

22 Inches Long

We long awaited the day "Baby Bronson" was going to make his appearance. After two months of contractions and two weeks of Dr. appointments that were not what we wanted to hear finally on Monday

I went to my regular appointment praying we were still going to have a baby. Well sure enough we were so luck that she didn't think he would wait until 7pm on his own so she wanted me to head to the hospital about noon (seeing as she had a meeting in the late afternoon she had a meeting she was over in SL)

We arrived right on time since I was not about to have any reason we would wait another minute to have this little guy. So we got checked in and they put me on penicillin. I had to be on it for 4 hours before they would break my water. So we waited while watching hours of boring daytime soaps. After 4 hours they nurse found a Dr. to come in and break my water at 5:05 pm. After that was all said and done the Dr. checked me to only find out that they thought I was in labor on my own the whole time since I was having contractions for the 4 hours every 4-6 min. but nothing had changed from my Dr. appointment, when I got there to 5 hours now later.

About an hour later the nurse came back in to see how I was doing since my contractions were 2 min. apart lasting 60-90 sec. I was uncomfortable but fine. I figured I would wait as long as I could to get an epidural since I was having contractions for the last 5 hours that had done nothing so the last thing I wanted was my epidural to slow things down. The nurse asked several times over and over, "Are you sure you don't want one yet" so after about five min. of her asking again and again I decided to have her go ahead and page the anesthesiologist so If he was busy and I had to wait it would still be no big deal. (the nurse paged the Dr. and called my Dr. My Dr. was already in SL but since nothing had changed in 5 hours now she headed back home to Bountiful) The Dr. walked in about 10 min. later to do my epidural. My mom and dad decided to go down stairs and get some dinner thinking they had hours before this baby would be here. Well the Dr. got me all prepped to give me my epidural when he started the nurse asked me what my pain level was I assured her I was fine but was having a lot of pressure so the nurse checked me again to say this baby is coming now! The anestelogiest turned to say I'm not done and need about 5 min. well the nurse was now in panic mode. She paged another nurse to find out where the Dr. on the floor was and to call my Dr. Well the Dr. on the floor was in another delivery, and mine was back home in Bountiful about 20 min. away. They then notified an ER Dr. to be ready to come up. I then go into panic mode thinking my mom has been here to see my other babies be born and she won't be with this one. Nick started calling over and over and she didn't answer any calls or text messages. Nick then called Jackee who was at home watching Kennadee and Ryker. She started calling and texting to, still no luck. So our last resort was to send Nicks dad to find them, luckily there aren't many places to eat at the hospital so it was just a matter of getting down there and back up in time. Well at 6:16 my mom ran into the room, and 5 min. later my Dr. ran into the room. At this point my epidural is starting to work behind my knees so the anesthesiologist came back to give a quick does to see how fast he could push it in. Well 1 1/2 pushes later (my Dr. assured us it was 1 1/2 not 2, I guess that was very important) Bronson was here. He is healthy as can be and we are loving every min. of him.

Ready to go home and meet my big brother and sister...Because of all the illnesses going around children under 14 are not allowed to be in the hospital unless they are a patient. So Tuesday night we headed home.

Big brother and sister holding there baby for the first time. Ryker has been a crack up he loves his baby but his baby isn't so sure about the kid who keeps screaming in his face but wants to kiss him non stop. Kennadee is the best little mommy she can't get enough of him. She just want to do it all. We are so luck to have such great family and friends who have been so helpful this week with our kids and visiting.
